Family

The Family is an important part of life, and it is more so in the Kingdom. Sticking together and helping each other out is a great way to rise up in the world. Some families are big enough in the community to become a House in which they may have their own coat of arms, flag, national animal ect, and then there are those who become even bigger and become a Great House.

DartMoor

Dartmoor is a large moor in the centre of devon reaching from plymouth and Ivybridge in the south to Oakhampton in the north. Tors and Bogs dominate the landscape with Standing Stones, Hut circles and Kistvaens. The Dartmoor Pony is a famous native breed of horse that has roamed on the moors for centries. It has a temperate climate and the weather is said to be umpredictable.

Forests

The local forests are mix of native deciduous forests, planted pine forests and a mix of the two. Some forests like Wistman's woods are one of the oldest forests in the whole of the British Isles. In Cannwoods there is an old Iron Age earthworks called Cannwoods Fort.

On the National Holidays and other similar differnces

The National Holidays are from the wheel of the year. Also note that in the Neo-Dumnonii Kingdom, the start of the year is the 1st of December and the first day of the week is a saturday. There is also a national holiday for the date that the Kingdom first came into proper existance and another national holiday for the Patron of the Kingdom, Vercingetorix.

From Nomadic, to Subterranean Urbanism

The life style of the Neo-Dumnonii depends on how a Neo-Dumnonii would like to live their life and which Great House they chose their allegiance with. This can be a rural living or an urban living, or maybe living amongst the trees or living underground, or maybe moving from one place to the other seasonally.

Job Opportunities

Because the Kingdom is so very young, there are so many job opportunities on offer, there is bound to be a job with your name on it. From Teachers to Architects and from religious priests/priestesses to scientists and mathematicians. Even from farmers and foragers to ambassadors.
